You will be cruising on board an expedition adapted Clipper 68 yacht and be equipped with the technical clothing and safety equipment needed for the voyage including state-of-the-art safety life jackets. To ensure you are as comfortable as possible in these high latitudes, SKIRR Adventures provides outer layer clothing from Musto’s technical sailing collection. Providing protection against the elements we’ve handpicked kit tried and tested by professional sailors who venture to the most extreme places on earth and is used by participants in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

Your allocated bunk will have a privacy screen, with a reading light, and private stowage area for your personal items. If needed, the bunks can also be fitted with a mosquito net. USB charge points are available for all crew in the communal cabin.

Expedition sailing is a unique participatory experience. You will be part of the crew operating the yacht, working the deck, helming and helping on board. Your professional skipper and the additional qualified person will continue to provide guidance to ensure you get the most from sailing the 68-foot offshore yacht.

All cooked meals, snacks, and soft drinks are provided while you are on board during your leg. In addition you may want to bring some home comforts of your own, and try food or drinks locally when on the expedition.

Clipper 68

Proven to be a perfect balance of nimble and robust

Our adapted expedition yachts are perfect for both gruelling weather conditions or low wind, with the maneuverability to go where larger boats can not.

Crew may be surprised by the power and size of a Clipper 68 when compared to smaller cruising yachts. The sails are larger and heavier, the winches handle more load, and since there is no headsail furling, all sail change evolutions are conducted by the crew. This is sailing purity at its best.
